Each December members of the Kennebec Valley Garden Club decorate seven areas of the Blaine House, an historic home in Augusta that is the residence for the Governor of Maine. Members of the Blaine House Committee select a theme for each year’s decorations. The theme for 2015 was “Children’s Winter Wonderland.”
The reception room Christmas Tree was decorated with Teddy Bears, silver garland, twinkling lights and silver stars.
The entry way stair case was decorated with evergreen garland, twinkling lights and red and white ribbon for a festive holiday look.
The sun room was adorned with a KVGC snow woman wearing a KVGC apron.

A gingerbread house village took over the billiard room.
Garden Club members enlisted the help of children and grandchildren making some very colorful and interesting gingerbread houses.
